Ze-gen is focused on
delivering “modules” as
standard products to the marketplace. Each Ze-gen module will generate
30 megawatt
hours of net electrical output through the processing of 450 tons of
C&D
or MSW per day, with zero emissions associated with the transformation
of solid
waste into syngas.
Ze-gen is partnering with
New Bedford Waste Services (NBWS),
a waste transfer station in New Bedford, Massachusetts. NBWS has
perfected the
processing of raw C&D waste, recovering the recyclable material
from the
waste stream and removing for proper disposal any material that
contains harmful
compounds. The final product, called C&D residual, looks
similar to finely
ground wood chips and is Ze-gen's primary feedstock for gasification.
