APPOINTS SCOTT FRASER AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING
Boston, MA – April 2, 2008
– Ze-gen, Inc., a Boston-based, privately-held
company providing advanced gasification technology to convert
industrial and municipal waste streams into synthesis gas and low
emissions electrical energy, welcomes Scott Fraser as Senior Vice
President of Engineering to their team.
Mr. Fraser has been active in the energy field for
thirty years. His initial experience within a regulated utility
included the engineering, permitting, construction, and operation of
conventional fossil fuel based electrical generation/cogeneration
plants and the evaluation of emerging energy technologies. Mr. Fraser
has completed a multitude of energy projects associated with
conventional coal, fluidized bed combustion, solid waste utilization,
gasification, natural gas fired combined cycle plants, and LNG
receiving terminals.
Other areas of expertise include energy
infrastructure/economics within India, the Caribbean, and the former
Soviet Union and other emerging markets which represent future market
areas for Ze-gen. Mr. Fraser is knowledgeable of the growing LNG supply
infrastructure within North America and the current challenges facing
the US electrical transmission system. Since 2000, Mr. Fraser has
provided project advisory services including due diligence assessments
for energy asset owners, lenders, potential investors, and energy
technology development companies.
A Registered Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia,
Mr. Fraser holds a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering - Queen’s
University and an MBA Finance - Dalhousie University.
